The MoU was signed at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai by Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for the Far East, and Nguyen Vu Quynh Anh, Deputy CEO of Sun Group and CEO of Sun Entertainment & Hospitality Group.

Under the agreement, both sides will collaborate on marketing campaigns to promote Vietnam as a premier travel destination across Emirates’ global network. They will also coordinate familiarization trips for media and travel agents from key markets and offer incentives to tour operators to enhance awareness of Vietnam’s tourism offerings.
“We’ve been significantly ramping up our Southeast Asia operations and will be adding new weekly flights to Da Nang from June, marking it as our third Vietnamese gateway,” said Abbas. “Our partnership with Sun Group will unlock exciting new opportunities to showcase Vietnam’s unique culture, heritage, and landscapes to a broader audience.”
Anh responded, “We believe Emirates’ new route to Da Nang will have a profoundly positive impact not only on the city but also on Vietnam’s entire tourism industry.”

Beyond connectivity, Emirates will serve as a global ambassador for Vietnam’s tourism. Anh emphasized that Emirates’ expansive reach and media presence can elevate Vietnam’s profile, especially destinations developed by Sun Group such as Da Nang’s Golden Bridge and Ba Na Hills, and Phu Quoc’s Kiss Bridge and Sunset Town.
Anh noted that the partnership between Emirates and Sun Group—two brands known for premium service—will further position Vietnam as a leading destination in Asia. She added that Sun Group is committed to creating tailor-made experiences for Emirates passengers, including exclusive access to its Sun World parks and award-winning resorts.
“This marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration that will bring value to travelers, elevate our brands, and contribute to Vietnam’s global tourism stature,” Anh said. “Emirates passengers will enjoy more than just a flight—they’ll experience a seamless journey from sky to ground, enriched with unforgettable moments.”

Emirates currently operates 21 weekly flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City using Boeing 777 aircraft. Starting June 2, the airline will add four weekly flights to Da Nang using its Boeing 777-300ER, offering 35 business class and 368 economy seats.
Flight EK370 departs Dubai at 9:00 a.m., arrives in Bangkok at 6:25 p.m., departs Bangkok at 8:10 p.m., and arrives in Da Nang at 9:50 p.m.
Flight EK371 departs Da Nang at 11:30 p.m., arrives in Bangkok at 1:10 a.m., departs at 3:40 a.m., and returns to Dubai at 6:50 a.m. (all times local).
